Devlog#6 Getting ready for second sprint..

Hello fellow penguins!

We've been hard at work making progress on the game, coming to the end of the first production sprint.

The submarine is all done, complete with textures and toon shader. We also made a bunch of snowy ice bergs to add to our levels to make them feel more like the arctic! Adding on to that we made a simple tileable ice texture to add to our platforms. Our UI also started to form, as we now have little hearts to indicate how many tries you still have left.

We fixed some issues we had with the puzzles including incorrect pivot placement and an off-scale issue. To enhance replayability and enable future procedural placement of puzzles, we added start and end positions on every puzzle. This would make it easier to place the puzzles in proximity to one another. We made 15 puzzles (6 with easy difficulty, 6 medium and 3 hard ones).

We've been working on adjusting the Penguin's rig for animation in preparation for the next sprint!
We also made a new mesh for a bigger gate obstacle.

Fixed respawn timings, player not able to break the ice before respawning Added a platform manager and camera system. This system makes the camera accelerate when both players have reached the end of the current platform Added sliding mechanism for the player.

We added a new obstacle! A bridge that can be lowered by saving the puzzle of the platform. We've reworked the camera from to a faux orthographic setup using a perspective camera to enable some advanced water shader effects. On top of that we also adjusted the water shader to fit our game's color schenme, as well as the direction of the flow of the water and small icebergs to match the camera's scrolling direction.

We've also made a lot of progress on the enemy AI, UI & Respawn mechanic!
